Design Programs at Collins College and Other Schools

Students who are interested in design will need to determine what area of design interests them. For those students who aren't quite sure, the best choice for an education is to go to a design school that offers programs in multiple areas of design. This allows the student to explore different design options before settling into a career in the design industry.

Many of the career colleges out there are limited in the number of design programs that they offer. For example, Gibbs College Melville only offers graphic design and game design. In contrast, there are a few schools out there which offer a broader array of degrees. Collins College is a school that offers the same programs as Gibbs but also offers interior design and film classes. Students who really only know that they want to pursue a creative degree will benefit from this selection.

Some students know exactly what they want to study and where they want to study it. Someone passionate about urban life and fashion design will immediately look at fashion design programs in Chicago and other large cities. But it's okay if you don't have your life choices narrowed down that much; just make sure to attend a school that will let you be flexible with your education.
