Late Night Studies

When I married my husband, he worked at Pamida for near minimum wage. That never bothered me, and frankly I’m not an ambitious or materialistic person. I loved him, and that was and always will be more than enough for me. Plus, for whatever it’s worth, he was good at his job. He was employee of the month more often than not, and his bosses all thought he was the greatest thing to happen to Pamida since the cash register. And he liked working there. He’s a man with simple desires, and the satisfaction of a job well done was enough to keep him going most days. After a few years, however, he decided he wanted a little more from his job. I wasn’t sure about it all, but he started looking around for the best place to take a healthcare course in Atlanta. He ended up going to SBI in Atlanta, which was pretty nearby and highly rated. I loved him when he worked at Pamida, but I have to say that watching him come home from work and study his books late into the night really impressed me. I’ve never felt like he was more adult than when he started taking these classes. And I’ve never been prouder.
